Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need my own gun?
Yes, members have to bring their own guns.
How much does it cost to join?
Full membership is $35 if paid by cash/check or $40 if paid online. This includes issuance of a key card to activate the entrance gate. This is quite a deal considering all the Cedar Valley Conservation Club has to offer. So, for the price of shooting for two hours at the average indoor range, you can enjoy all the benefits we have to offer for a full year.
I'm under 18 - can I come along on my own?
If you have a valid firearms training certificate, and you are 16 years old, you are permitted to use your parents/guardians key card to gain access to the club grounds.

When can I apply for a Firearms Certificate?
An on-line fire arms training course is available through the MN DNR at this website: Click here for Minnesota Hunter Safety Training
Anyone 11 years or older is eligible to take this course and obtain a certificate. This allows you to attend a scheduled Range Field Day and obtain your actual Firearms Training Certificate. This final certificate allows you to buy hunting licenses, etc. Also on the DNR website, is a list of scheduled Range Field Days throughout the state where you can sign up and attend. Range Field Days held at the Cedar Valley Conservation Club will also be listed on our Calendar Events on this website.
How do I join the CVCC and pay my dues?
We have two times designated when you can join the CVCC. These two times are Sundays between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm and Tuesdays between 5:00 and 8:00 pm. You will need to come to the clubhouse at the CVCC to sign up or pay your membership dues. Tuesdays and Sundays are also the designated trap leagues and someone will be manning the counter to help you fill out the paperwork, go over the necessary membership and safety information and collect your yearly dues.
